Kouji ran a hand through his hair as he looked past the big metal doors that boarded up their way from coming up inside. ”What a pain in the butt.” But Rocket’s very special guest was inside, already eating at the source, so any pokemon needed to be dealt with; or so he told himself.

”They’ve even got a big guy like yourself doing it now.” Referring to the shift in positions, Kouji cracked a smirk. ”Guess it might be needed, is something brewing?”

It was really just a hunch, especially with the shift in energy in the region, the line of energy that had both natures. ”Not the smartest wurmple on the hook, but I’d bet my ass something big is gonna happen.”

"Boss said to collect as many Electrode and Magneton lines as we can. He's got some big shit planned."[break][break]

But Tempest just shrugged when Kouji Matsubara asked. It wasn't his place to tell. As much as he liked Kouji, his new station made it so certain secrets had to be kept.[break][break]

Tossing out a pokeball, a Flareon shook out her lilac stained fluff. She seemed feral and sickly, lavender spit oozing from her mouth. Her fluffy tail lashed behind her. She stared at Kouji with teeth bared, as if waiting on the order to devour him.[break][break]

"Have you met Agni yet? She's one of my good girls." Tempest didn't hide the change in subject, reaching down to ruffle the rabid fire-types fur. Agni only kept her gaze straight on the other man. "Just don't turn your back on her."[break][break]

Tempest winked and clicked his tongue twice. Instantly, the Flareon looked away and unleashed a Shadow Flame on the doorway. The blast of purple fire burned the rotting wood away. The metal door glowed red with heat. The Beast just nodded, pleased, and motioned for Kouji to finish letting them in.

Kouji ran a hand through his hair as he looked over this place. Electrode and Magneton, were they going to be useful, or were they simple going to become parts? It was something he was curious about, a war machine, or batteries?

”Can’t say I have yet, cute.” Kouji said with a laugh as he looked over the rabid beast, he didn’t doubt she’d burn him into ash with an order. The laugh just put into perspective how comfortable he felt around Tempest.

”C’mon Dracozolt.” He brought his dragon type pokemon, its ability to eat electric type attacks would come into use, and for everything else it had a move of use to begin with.
[break][break]
”Route D.” His pokemon responded with a coalescence of draconic energy at the tip of its beak before it fired it off in an attack at the red hot door breaking through it. It would’ve preferred to use its bolt beak, but it wasn’t worth it in the present circumstance.

The insides were full of electric types, New Mauville also held Zapdos, but he didn’t have that kind of access permission to begin with. A bunch of these were useless to them, a couple Elekid’s came forward, but Dracozolt was ready for their electric attacks jumping forward to take it on directly. The thunder punch, and thundershock were both eaten by the dragon type.

The route was blasted open by Kouji Matsubara. Tempest just laughed, pleased, and stalked forward to duck through the ruined entryway. He didn't flinch at the attack from the Elekid, menaces they were, and Kouji's pokemon quickly took them out anyway. Another click and Agni was hopping over to his side.[break][break]

"Most of the good shit will be deeper inside. We need to be careful not to get around the Zapdos' nest. I'm sure we could kill it between us but we'd piss off some people if we did."[break][break]

Tempest lifted his fingers to the corners of his lips to make a sharp 'fweet!' of a whistle. Agni's ears flicked up quickly before she bounded off. A trail of smoke and fire was all that was left in her wake as she ran ahead.

It was so obvious, but Kouji hadn’t thought about it before, then again it wasn’t really important. He shook his head, and focused on the task at hand. ”Route PL.” He told Dracozolt who, with a chirrup, dashed ahead; almost as if following the trail of flames and smoke. The electric Pokemon attacks would be eaten by that annoying little thing, so he rolled his shoulders.

”So what’s up with Flareon, looks like one of Cil’s pokemon.” Kouji was curious, pretty damn curious even.

Temp's eyes follow the Dracozolt. His husband was pretty fond of the Galarian fossils. Tempest thought they were a bit creepy but was happy to tolerate them for the man he loved.[break][break]

"Agni? Yeah, she's a Shadow Pokemon. She's not a pure-blood so she's not quite as strong as Cil's, though." Her lineage was a little strange, all things considered.[break][break]

"They're becoming more and more common, I've noticed. Do you have any?"

More and more rules were being broke in this region, and Kouji wondered just what it could be, but then again they were coming up to the moment of truth. Dracozolt could had given a loud roar to signify the existence of what they were looking for.

"We actually lost the ability to make them from what I understand." The Shadow Machine had been a great loss for Rocket. It had also been a personal annoyance to Cillian Quinn for ages as far as Tempest knew. "I don't really know why they're more common, but I suspect it has to do with all the weird universal shit that keeps hitting the fan."[break][break]

That's the theory that made the most sense to Temp, anyway. More cracks in reality made everything more unstable.[break][break]

The roar was followed by a flash of heat and flame, smoke filling the air much more heavily. It crackled and sizzled, making Tempest sigh.[break][break]

Looks like they had found what they were looking for. And Agni had started a proper fire. They'd have to put that out before they left. Temp pulled out a few pokeballs, regular ones just for this mission, and nodded for Kouji to follow before he started to make his way towards the noise.

It was an interesting thing to note, but Kouji would have to sit on it for a little while as the sound made him rush on over; perhaps letting those two out loose was a bit of a mistake. A shadow pokemon at the height of ferocity, or a territorial dragon-type.

The result in comparison was something a lot more handleable, a bunch of pokemon that were planted out cold, and a bit of damage. The Electrodes and magnetons were all laid out, and so he took out some normal pokeballs to capture them in.

”I might have to let him loose more often, this was surprisingly easy. Now, tell me some more about them shadow pokemon.
